After 22 years, I’ve finally put this thing to use!
I got this Trend T-3 router with the intention of making centring rings for high-power rockets. My plan was to get a compass jig to create some intricate motor configurations, but life got in the way, and it ended up collecting dust in the shed.
I was supposed to be off to Wales at the weekend for a cycling event, but since I’m still recovering from an accident I had back in August, I had to sit this one out. Instead of sulking all weekend, I thought, why not finally tackle that router and accomplish something worthwhile after all this time?
Here it is in actual action:
I used some double-sided carpet tape to secure the pieces of wood. I didn’t realize it would be so strong! I might need to get a large piece of laminated plywood to create a work surface that the tape won’t pull up.
